All of the Miss World Canada 2017 finalists arrived Sunday, July 17 in Toronto and we were busy right away!   Once we all got checked into the hotel, we started to meet each other and then had so much fun at the Official Sponsor Dinner.

We’re so lucky to have so many amazing sponsors for the pageant.  We got to see the products, test them out and then keep them too!

Skecher’s had the most comfortable and cute shoes and I’m sure all of us will welcome wearing them, especially after this week where we will be practically living in all our high heels!

I’m sure we’re all familiar with Skechers, possibly first when we were still in school.  Now of course, they have their own specialty, department and independent stores in shopping malls, as well as through more than 2,000 Skechers retail stores and online at skechers.com.  Skecher’s are available in more than 160 countries and territories throughout the world, including of course, Canada.  You can check out this Manhattan Beach, California company at www.skechers.com.

Thanks to Golden Glamour Goddesses, from Toronto, for being another great sponsor of the Miss World Canada pageant!  They have amazing lash extensions and awesome spray tans plus they do airbrush makeup and hairstyling as well so you can treat yourself to the “Full Package.”  It was a pleasure to visit their booth and look at their products and look up their website at www.GGGoddesses.com.

Now the WARSH cloth is an amazing product.  You use it to remove your makeup  by just adding water to create a hydro process which cleans and exfoliates.  The WARSH Cloth doesn’t dry your skin like soap would and it keeps your natural acid balance in check by protecting from bacteria.

You simply rinse the WARSH cloth in warm water and wipe away all the grime and oil build-up from your skin. It’s an excellent makeup remover as well as a skin cleanser and exfoliates naturally. Next, flip to the clean side to completely clear away remaining residue.  You clean the WARSH cloth in soap and warm water after every use, hang it to dry and it lasts 3-4 months!  Their website is www.maxinewarsh.com/the-cloth/.

My next booth to visit was the Helene Clarkson Designer which is a Canadian company that makes very high quality clothing that is travel friendly so you don’t need to iron them!  She has a selection of dresses, pants and tops, made out of wrinkle resistant fabrics which are all perfect for your luggage and your next trip.  I love to travel and I’m definitely going to look at her fashions for my next trip! Before you adventure out on your next vacation, you should check out the website which is www.heleneclarkson.com.

The KRA Shea Butter products are made of natural ingredients and offer  luscious Shea butter in 4oz. containers, lip balms made with essential oils, and lip tints with a hint of colourful minerals. Their website is www.thekra.co/

The KRA company was founded by Pina and Lucy Santoro, sisters, and the creative duo behind the Kra Company. They import 100% natural Shea Butter made by a small group of women in Ghana. I really like how their company is about giving back to communities. Their proceeds of sales return to rural Ghana to support girls in school and to keep women employed. They are also active in fundraising for the Breast Cancer community.

They’re perfect sponsors for the Miss World Canada pageant as they support many of the finalist’s, including my own,”Beauty With a Purpose” platforms with empowering women, giving back to their communities and supporting cancer patients.

Shoes from Nine West were provided for each delegate and I am such a fan of Nine West shoes as are all the women in my family. For us to be supplied with Nine West shoes for our evening gown competition is fantastic! Plus we understand that during the week, all of us contestants will be going downtown for a “Meet and Greet” event at the flagship, Nine West store.

Snappy Towels microfiber beach towels were given away along with blue and pink beach balls emblazoned with their logo. Check out their website at www.snappytowels.com.

Raven social media photo booth was set up to make memories with the party and the official photo wall in the background. All of us girls had so much fun “Performing” in the photo booth and throughout the week, you should see lots of posts of us girls blowing kisses to the “world”!

Isabella Hoops Entertainment also provided lots of photo opportunities for us as they sent hula hoop performers to put on a show and give tips to inspire other enthusiasts among the assembly. Lots of giggles as we tried our hula hooping too! Check out: IsabellaHoopsEntertainment.com

#Hashtagio social media aggregator was there , but not really. They are showcasing every finalist who tagged their photos #MissWorldCanada, on Instagram, so other delegates could see what they’re doing.

Archer Dental sent ahead dozens of tiny gift bags loaded with dental supplies for the week ahead. With all the smiling that we’ll be doing this week, these dental gifts will be appreciated. Archer Dental’s website is archerdental.ca.

And every delegate got tank tops from StreetChic.ca with the slogan “I like it when you smile and I love it when I’m the reason.” Lily was there and we discussed all our blogs for her “Street Chic”  blog.  I really enjoyed going to the street of my hometown, Kelowna, BC to write my fashion article. Ryan at Tastic Marketing ran a great booth too and his website is: www.tasticmarketing.com.

It was a fun night and a great start to a great week at Miss World Canada 2017!
